Got Vtec baby!!

Just went and got it today. D16Z6!! 300bucks. Now time for some q&a:

Would it be better to use the D16a6 manifold or the d16z6 manifold?

Im running the PM6 ecu whats a good vtec controller?

Does anyone have a SI dizzy they want to part with half way cheap or trade?

Thanks!

you'll still have to convert it to multi-point, but if you use the a6 manifold i believe you can use an si ecu to run it....

If you use the Si manifold then you have to use the pm6 ecu. The only way you can use the z6 manifold is with the p28 ect. A Fields controller will work but the best is going to be Apexi.

Re: Got Vtec baby!!

ya agreed, if you are using the a6 manifold, it would be a good idea to use the ECU to go with it......but if you were to convert it, I think you could use the z6 ECU to control the vtec instead of buying a aftermarket controller, but that might not be what you are looking for.....

Re: Got Vtec baby!!

thats not true....
he could easily use the z6 intake manifold. All he has to do is slap his A6 injectors in there, and run his PM6 ecu and injector resistor box. This is better for performance reasons than just using the A6 manifold.
Also, keep in mine that a b series Throttle body bolts up to the Z6/Y8 but not the A6
