'99 Grand Am Fuel Filter

Got the new filter but could not get the old filter off. Removed fuse for fuel pump and removed the filter from the bracket. Pushed and turned the old filter but could not get it to disconnect. What am I doing wrong?

By the way, glad to have found this site.

Re: '99 Grand Am Fuel Filter

there are two metal clips where the hose meets the filter on the inside look closely, these must be squeezed together at the same time, ( needle nose pliers, or special tool) while you twist and pull and drink gas
