Problem with 2000 silverado
I made a sharp turn in my 2000 full size silverado 1500 when the power steering went completely out. I went to a mech and he said it probably the pump because the power steering fluid was not circulating in the resovoir. He said it might be under warranty? I have 76000 miles on it. Any suggestions or advice would be awesome? Thank you.

It would probably be best to have a power steering pump pressure test done before coming to any conclusions about it being the pump. but i have seen the pump shaft that is connected to pulley shear. As for the warranty, i believe that would only be covered for 3yr. or 36,000mi.
