Latest build - LeMans Sunset Skyline 350GT Coupe
Here's my take on Fujimi's new Skyline 350GT coupe. I wanted a simple project, it was for the most part except for my mistakes...thumbprint in the clear, spilling a bottle of black paint that spattered on the body and got all over one wheel/tire...luckily it came off w/a fast trip to wash it off w/water. Sheesh.
 Oh, and the pillars aren't real strong, they'll bend easily if you bear down while polishing the paint. Glad the paint bottle mishap splattered on well-polished paint...I had to re-clear the car when my thumbprint graced the hood...  At least w/this much clear, the final finish is nice and I didn't rub through to any of the color beneath. Now I get to see if the clear doesn't crack over time...it already has stress lines where the pillars are weak....but they're not very visible and this certainly isn't a contest winner.Paint is a mixture of House of Kolor Gamma Gold (roughly 30%) with Bittersweet Pearl (70%) to give an "eyeball engineered" look of LeMans Sunset used on the 350Z. I dare say the color looks better on this than the Z. Can't wait to get the Nismo, can't decide on a color for it. I may do my 350Z in this color, with one serious twist (more later).
