Unhappy Bronco II wiper problem

Just got a 1987 Bronco II but the right side pivot and shaft assembly isn't seated like it should be. The bushing is sliding on it. How can I fix this? Do I need to rip it out and get a replacement or can this be repaired? The Haynes manual shows two "nubs" that fit into holes in the sheet metal but the assembly on mine doesn't look like the one in the book. Luckily it isn't raining or snowing so I'm ok but need this fixed. Any suggestions appreciated.
