Venom 400?

What's up with this thing. I'm new to the 4 cyl set. I've previously owned v8 dakota and did some moding to that. But I am lost with all this import tuning stuff. The venom 400 seems cool but there is alot of smoke and mirrors out there. So what's the deal with this? It only cost 299.00. If its anything like the perf. pcm I had on my truck its worth it. So lets go vets whats the deal????

i dont know to much about the venom 400, but if its anything like the Jet chip or any other type of "chip" then its worthless, you might see a gain of 1hp with those. For the 299.00 i would spend that on an intake and something else instead of that.

but would it get rid of that stupid top speed limiter?

i really dont know, some of them do, but not for all makes and models. but you really dont need to remove it, i mean where are you going to drive a cavi more then 105mph, for one you dont have the performance to even reach that speed in the 1/4 mile, and if you did have that kind of power you would know how to do that without buying some crapy black box.

any where you want, with a few suspention mods that cavi can handle almost as well as that vete I see on my screen I've done it with less than $500 so I try to get rid of that rev limiter if at all possible call and ask the company to ask if will cancel it out on your specific car.

no it wont get rid of the speed limiter...its a 300 dollar piece of junk...until you are trapping over 105mph in the 1/4 mile why would you wanna get rid of it anyways? nobody needs to be going that fast on the road anyways...just a good way to get someone hurt.
