My 1998 Grand Caravan has the same problem with the driver's side window not going down. I found in the owner's manual under "maintaining you vehicle" a section on fuses. It said that "the power windows are fused with self resetting fuses that are only serviceable by an authorized dealer"....

good way to cut down on competition...i hope the dealer isn't going to go nuts on fixing this

Re: driverside power window

Remove the door panel and checked for power and ground at the window motor connector. If you have both, in both directions of the switch then give the motor a light rap with a small hammer. Reconnect the connector and try the switch again to see if the motor works.
More than likely it will work again for a short while. Will need to replace the motor.

Re: driverside power window

Sounds like the motor's brushes are worn out. Tapping on the motor will reseat them briefly.
