98 power window express down problem

I am having an issue with the drivers window on my 98 Z34. If i use the express down feature, after a couple if minutes the window will not roll back up. After I press the up switch, the window will roll up after a minute or so. It seems like the motor is staying on after the window is completely down and overheating the motor. Once I push the up switch, the down function releases allowing the motor to cool, which then allows tthe window to roll up.

I have the service manuals, but there is no schematic for this circuit. Is there a down limit switch involved? It has been a little chilly to take it apart so far. It is not a real big deal, except for the other day when the wife took it to the automatic car wash...

I'm new here, thanks in advance for any help!

Question Re: 98 power window express down problem

Sounds like the window switch may be sticking and not releasing when you let up on it ? You could try removing it from the door panel and cleaning it with the appropriate electrical cleaner to see if that helps . You might have to replace the switch ? Good luck !
