6th Gen Hatch Tail Light Removal

Can anyone explain, or point me toward directions on how to do this? I am trading in my OEM 96-98 lights for OEM 99-00's.

Re: Re: 6th Gen Hatch Tail Light Removal

bah it's easy bro.. there's plastic access panels inside the trunk that you gotta pull off. Unplug the 4 bulbs going to the housing, and there are four 10mm or 12mm nuts holding each one on. I remember the two towards the outside of the car being a bitch to reach, but otherwise it's pretty straightforward.

When are you taking them out? If it's in a couple days or whatever I can post pics tonight.

Cool - I was hoping that I didn't have to take the bumper off. I know exactly the panels you are talking about, and I can take it from here (no pics necessary). Thanks for your help.

Sweet, post pics when you're done. It should only take like 20 minutes for the swap.. 99-00 tails look 10x better, orange sucks!
