Question Carbon Fiber

I've been looking at websites that offer carbon fiber products, and it seems like everyone uses "grade A" carbon fiber, and all of them always say that they are superior, and it can get kind of confusing. So I thought it would be helpful if I created a poll, and listed as many of the manufacturers as I can recall at the moment, and got others who have had experience with these parts post their opinions and vote for their favorite companies. Please feel free to contribute to this post, and tell me if I forgot any companies!

Re: Carbon Fiber

The weave is the sign of quality, the tighter and straighter the better. Go look at an EVO wing and base opinions off that. It is some of the nicest carbon fiber i have seen.

Re: Carbon Fiber

its impossible to go wrong with Spoon Sports
they make competitive racing parts and stuff...
and wat is C Wings??
do u mean C-West?
personally i like their bodykits...
and for fiber images... havent heard great things about them... but havent heard bad things about them either... all i know is that their stuff is a little lesser in quality... but it also comes cheaper too... i guess you get wat you pay for...

Re: Carbon Fiber

a couple of months ago i got the VIS CF hood and trunk and i am LOVING it. they look great and fit good! i had a JKL CF hood before i got the VIS and i was so pissed off about the quality of the JKL hood. i was so glad to get rid of that shit. now i am soooo happy and would suggest anyone to go with VIS products. what i'm trying to say is go with VIS they are "grade A" for real and you wouldn't be disappointed!

But I heard that lately the quality of VIS products has really dropped, and you got it a few months ago, so maybe you got the last run before the quality dropped and if I was to go and buy a hood now, supposedly I would get the bad run But I could be wrong

Re: Carbon Fiber

Has anyone seen the carbon hatches on any EK's? I wanna get one if it looks like it's good quality. If anyone knows tell me what you think. The 2 companies are VIS and C-wings that I know of.

And the VIS stuff depends usually, my friend had an '02 celica and he had the xtreme gt hood and the latch was weak and the vent dumped water right by his battery and distributer, his weave was not very tight. On my old Ek I had an CF Invader w/ a steel latch and decent weave. We bought ours at the same time from Trix motorsports down in Texas i think. Usually on VIS stuff you should wait till it's been out for a year or two. It seems they like to rush things out of development right into production, then they work the problems out later.
