Question 2003 Yukon XL climate control question

Our Yukon XL(8000 miles) has been to the dealership 3 times for the same problem. When on vent, the recirculate button flashes, then turns off. The recirculate only works with the air conditioner compressor on. Yet when I've picked up the car all three times from the dealership the vent recirculate works, hence, it does not require the air conditioner to turn on in order to recirculate the air in the car. The problem seems to be intermittent. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar problem.

Re: 2003 Yukon XL climate control question

I had the same experience. I'm guessing that it will re-circulate when the "set temperature" has been attained. It will always default to "vent" and reach the set temperature, and will then allow you to recirculate. Hope this answers your question.
