Re: Pully Question

if you get the complete set then they run fairly well. you shouldnt get underdrives if you have a pretty big sound system, but for the most part i have never heard anything seriously negative from someone who had underdrive pulleys...

Re: Pully Question

yeah, the only side effect is the chance of lowered charging from the alternator, so if you have a big stereo system or high current draw from accessories, then at least keep the stock alternator pully. you can do the other ones for a few more hp.

Re: Pully Question

no amp? it all depends on the current draw of the amp your putting in. you wont be able to power 2 12's off a head unit, youll need an amp. like i said before, if you leave the alternator pully alone, and keep the charge, and you have at least a 105amp alternator, you should be fine.

hmm 105 amps on a 12v system

Wattage=voltage x intensity

Wattage= 12 x 105

Wattage = 1260 watts max.

No point in this. Just thought it would be cool

Re: Pully Question

now wait a sec, if he doesnt get the alternator pulley would that kindof high gear the alternator in a way. this is just me thinking off the top of my head, but if the crank pulley is smaller and the alt pulley stays the same the alt pulley would slow down more cause the ratio has changed. i thought the point of getting both was to keep the ratio the same so that the pulleys would turn at almost the same speed as stock. again someone let me in on this, just thinkin off top of my head...
