I just bought a 94 XJ12, alarm, no key fob, only one key

Hi, I just bought this and the fuse light was on, I traced it to the left fuse box and the fuse was pulled, I put one in and the dash light went out and the alarm came on. I tried the only key I have in the drivers door(open and closed) and in the ignition and the alarm would not go off. Does it require the key fob, or is there another trick?

I believe that you need the key fob...take win # and go the dealership and ask them for the alarm remote replacement...sounds like someone tripped the alarm and didnt have the remote to silence it..There is only one key for the car..on that year
