Fuel mileage 2000 K2500 and hard starting.
My 2000 Chevy 2500 4X4 starts fine when it's cold, then when you shut it off warm, it seems to crank for a while before it starts.
The fuel mileage is also really bad (6 1/2 mpg pulling a trailer). I checked the fuel regulator and it's not wet. I put a new fuel pump and fuel sender in it not long ago, it was doing this hard starting thing before. I realize it could still be the fuel regulator, any other thoughts?? -slacker

do a pressure test and see if it bleeds down quickly, if it does pinch a return line and pressure test again if it doesnt bleed down, you need a new regulator
