Passing Thru the Firewall?
Anyone have suggestions about where to pass some wires thru the firewall? I've searched and searched can't find a good hole for 2or3 18guage wire. I tried piggybacking with the main cluster under the stering column (that isn't happening). Just wondering if anyone had any secrets they would let me in on.
Thanks, 99 Blazer 4.3L, 4door, 4x4 |

Re: Passing Thru the Firewall?
Probably the best thing to do is to make a new hole. Just be careful. Measure inside and out to make sure you aren't going to hit anything vital. Around the pedals would probably be good. Make sure you seal it up when you are done so no water gets in.

If I'm not mistaken there is a bundel of wires that passes threw a larger gromit on the pasenger side of the firewall. I used to install and maintain equipment on squad cars and emergency vehicles, and if I remember corectly we ran an 8 gauge wire threw a large gromit there on 1st gen S10 Blazers. Hope this helps, I worked on so many different kinds of cars doing that job, its hard to keep them all straight.
