90Eclipse vs 91Hatch vs 88CRX

I would like to know who you think would win out of these Cars.

1990 Eclipse GSX Turbo - All Stock

1991 SI Honda Hatch - with a B18c engine, rest of car is stock

1988 CRX HF - D16a engine (crapy swap) ,hone out the sleeves, resurface the top of the block, mill the head 40, got a valve job, racing valve springs, racing cam shaft and str gear, si headers, ported manifold and throttle body, 91 si tranny, 14 inch lightweight rims.

Ehh this may just be me, but in a 1/4 mile race I'd have to say the 91' Hatch. The GSX may have more hp/tq and AWD, but that hatch probably has about 11-11.5lbs per horsie and the GSX about 14lbs per horsie. The GSX would still definately take the other 2 cars on take off, but the 91' Hatch would probably pull in the last hundred of so feet.

P.S. My figures may be a little off but in the end I would say the 91' Hatch would still pull it out at the very end.

P.S. #2 I dunno what a D16a is, but if he means a D16 whatever, then the 88' CRX has not a chance. If he meant a b16a then it would probably be a damn close race between all 3 cars. I would have to actually see it to believe who would win.

Re: 90Eclipse vs 91Hatch vs 88CRX

It wouldt be a D16 because he said it was a crappy swap. I would go with the 1991 Si honda hatch. Not by much though, to many variables...as many others have said and will say...just race for fun or watch them race THEN tell us about it.!

Re: 90Eclipse vs 91Hatch vs 88CRX

I didn't mean that a D16 is a crappy swap its just compared to a B16, a D is single cam and B is dual.

D16a is the engine out of a 91 CRX si

not all D16's are bad, I'm putting a DOHC D16a1 out of an 87 integra in my hatch.

Go race and find out. I see more "who would win" posts anymore than I do of people actually racing.

I dont know why but when you said that, I pictured like a bunch of kids driving out to find a place to race and when they get there; instead of running each other, they get out pencils, calculators and a physics book and start plugging in specs to see who would win... "wait, you didnt calculate in my 50 shot of N2O at approximately 4500 RPM..." "uh oh, the wind chill factor just dropped 18 degrees, that will cause a 2% increase in HP..." ...sorry...

Re: 90Eclipse vs 91Hatch vs 88CRX

hatch no doubt, he will get pulled on alittle from the line by the gsx but will catch up and pass him, from a roll its all the hatch, awd isnt that great for rolls

i pulled on a galant vr4 from a roll, he had mods too, those things can be quick stock, same motor as the eclipses and such diff car, the hatch will win

Re: 90Eclipse vs 91Hatch vs 88CRX

The Hatch just went to the track and ran a 12.7 with slicks. Without slicks he ran a 14.3, im personaly going for the hatch but they havint raced yet, and they guy with the 88 CRX doesn't want to race any more because he said hes going to loose because he only has a single cam.

*you'll never know unless you try and you probbly bein 12 and making this all up you'll never know*

And no im not 12

Re: 90Eclipse vs 91Hatch vs 88CRX

B18C5, with a B16 trans, built with B16 head with ITR cam's, and stage 3 clutch. A stock b18c is a fast ass engine if your thinking of the b18a then no shit its slow as hell but wtf are you thinking
