is there a early and late 88crx

hey guys i am new to the honda thing but i am a 7 year experanced carer mechanic i work on that american made stuff so i make a good liveing LOL. but anyway i recently aquired a 88 honda crx that i like for free you can't beat that. it looks like a 87 with composite head lamps, but i thought the new body style started in 88, my car needs a new header panel wich the 88 did not use correct? is that why i can't find one? what about a motor swap i belive mine is a 1.5L carbed with a five speed i would like a DOHC motor with EFI is it possible and what do i need to look for and where

P.S. i also need the black plastic panel that says "CRX" the panel between the tail lights anyone but honda got that

if its carbed (assuming your in north america) its a 3rd gen, or a 87 like you said......all the forth gens had fuel injection (either DPFI or MPFI).......

Most "domestic" mechanics consider DPFI carburated when they see it, so maybe if he puts up a picture then we can help him a little more.
