Angry A Chick Car?

So all my friends are bugging me because I want to get a Celica (5th gen). They tell me that it's a chick car. Of course I defend it, and pretty soon words are exchanged and violence ensues. Heh. We're guys, what can I say? And while I wholly disagree that the Celica is a chick car, some people keep telling me different. So I want to hear everone else's comments on this.

Also was wondering, and I posted on this a while ago but no response, can you take a 7M-GTE engine from an old Supra, and swap it into a 5th gen or 6th gen Celica. Please tell me I want to know, like, real bad like...

>_>

Re: A Chick Car?

I am sorry but I must completely disagree with it being solely a chicks car. A red sunfire is more like a chicks car. And as far as the engine thing goes get your hands on a welder and someone that knows how to use and and just weld on the front end of a Supra to your Celica. Its a sure thing that the engine will fit into the engine bay. From what I hear that is a really common thing for people to do.

I disagree with the Celica being a chick car, the only reason i think people think its a chick car is because its so damn little and since chicks think little is cute than they get it being called a chick car, a toyota camry is mroe of a chick car then the celica, its practically a 2 seater though and no one calls an s2000 a chick car or a porsche becuase they cost so damn much but i'd be if they were cheap they'd be called chick cars too.

I still say that a red sunfire is the biggest, or a red cavalier

Re: A Chick Car?

I am not sure about HP but if your putting in a Supra engine I can promise you that your going to lose gas millage, if that is even a concern for you.. Toyota put more stock HP in the Supras and any time you add HP you subtract your gas.. So a fully upgraded Celica engine yeilds less HP than a fully upgraded Supra engine, but more fuel economy.. To me the Celica is a street car, and the Supra is a drag car.. all depends on what you want..

Re: A Chick Car?

There are several 2000 and up Celicas around Jacksonville, NC that have either Roxy stickers all over them, or there is one that says in really really big letters on the back window "Girls Have Speed Too." But I still disagree with it being a chick car. Those ones with the Roxy stickers, and the sign on the window are just the girls I wish I could be dating right now lol. Oh and lotusonwater19, you go right ahead and like whatever car you want, that just shows you don't like a car cause it's cute, but because there is more about it that catches your eye. At least I don't think any of the ones you listed could be 'cute'.
