Who thinks an Eclipse is a chicks car?

I am thinkikng about buying a 97 black or blueish GS-T Eclipse and all my friends are ragging on me about it beinga girls car do you all agree or not becuase i personally think htere damn ncie and can pick up girls easily and have lots of potentioal--say 16 g turbo some nice non ricer exhaust intake headers brakes clutch u know all the fun stuff- so hit me back on what u think the best buy for the buck is or if u think it is or isnt a girls car and why- thanks for the input

Look at it this way...

I own a '97 Spyder GS, and i have one girl who says she will literally do "Anything" for my car. Morals and a concious forbid be of taking the offer, but nontheless, i am saying that yes, girls LOVE the car, and if you take into consideration the 3000gt, then yes, the eclipse is the female's car, as the 3000gt is the male's car. But who cares? If you care that deeply about it being a girls car, but your money towards a 3000gt, vr4 preferably.

You say you have one friend driving a mommy and daddy earned Toyota Matrix. One friend who drives a Hyundai Accent. And your third friend drives what basically is a Civic. I don't know why they make fun of you considering all 3 are driving what can be equally defined as girl cars under their own definitions.

Let them rag on you, most likely their jeolous. If not, race 'em, that will shut them all up... quick.

No one's ever told me mine is a chick's car, I think it looks amazing and nothing really girlish about it. And yes, girls LOVE the car, all my friends always want to show up in my car at parties and stuff so ignore ur friends, build it up and school them.

eclipses are pretty... if your friends want to call your car a chick's car...

they're also calling camaro's, firebirds, and mustangs (the v6's) chick cars. I see so many girls driving those around it's sickening.

And just for somethin else - I see more girls driving 3kgt's here than guys :P The only guy I've seen drive a 3kgt from here is a good friend of mine. Not saying it's a chick's car... but that the 3kgt has its fair share of chick drivers.

Actually I do believe there were some statistics published that said the average buyer of the 2g was something like a 22-26 year old female. But since 85% of the DSMs sold were NTs, I dont doubt that figure. Had they come up with numbers for the other 15% (~10 gst, ~5% awd) I think the results would have been different. So I guess it depends on which eclipses we're really talking about.

As 95 gsxracer stated, most of the drivers of the 2g eclipse are female. However, they are 9 times out of 10 going to be the non-turbo version. The only thing that matters is if YOU like it, not what someone else thinks. YOU have to live with the decision. IMO, I would never be caught in a Matrix .

i own a 1g eclipse and i would have to say i hardly ever see any girls driving the 1g so the 1g is a guys car but the 2g and 3g are all girls cars thats why i have a 1g and also i think the 1g's look much better anyway.
