hi guys, little question about the 1/12 McLaren model

I am currently looking for one of those 1/12 McLaren models,
but seems quite hard to find nowadays,

Just wonder if any of you knows where/how can I find some
new one of those?

thanks a lot
(I go to ebay all the time and I know there are some on there
sometime)

There might be some still lying around in toy shops if you can travel overseas and look around carefully. I saw one new in the box that sat in a busy toy shop (in SE Asia) for years until a couple of months ago - it sold eventually for US$350 which was the asking price - I saw it and decided my 1/18th silver UT had finer detail and was just as good and hence I didn't buy it (plus it was a crap colour which no one wanted - bright yellow, and too expensive in my opinion even though I'd seen them on ebay for $600+). If there are 4000 or more of them out there I wouldn't pay more than $300-350 personally.-Just because the real car is worth a fortune doesn't automatically mean the model is worth a fortune too, i.e I'd be careful not to get 'scalped' on ebay.

Re: hi guys, little question about the 1/12 McLaren model

you think bright yellow is a crap color?
i think it's a good color, esp. for Mclaren!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=14736

and i would LOOOOVE to buy a 1:12 for $350,
would you mind telling me where exactly did you see the model in store? thanks a lot.

I think the yellow one looks great, except for that green interior.

Knowing that the yellow color sells for such incredible amounts on Ebay, I would have bought it for $350 even if I didn't want it, just for the opportunity to profit on it.

Also, I wouldn't call the prices on Ebay "getting scalped" because I know of a shop here in LA that has a few left in the boxes and wants over $1000 for each one.

Congratulations - that girl sounds like a keeper!

Do your doors stay open on their own like that? I don't think mine will.

Also, one thing I've got to know:

It's a easy thing to fix your doors so that they will stand open by themself if you are not fraid of opening the car!
