Unless you have a huge drop on it, you should be just fine. Mike (90civicracer) has his dropped and inch or so and has 205/40R17 and they're just fine. You shouldnt have any problem whatsoever.

Mine's lowered about 1.5" on my 4g4d and no scraping here with 205/40/17.

...it really all depends on the offset of the wheel..I had the same tire size pretty dumped and no rubbing..but I had 45 offset wheels..
