Any one out there want to jazz up there interior and only spend about 10 bucks in the process? Here is the easiest way. Go to your local hardware store pick up a can of spray paint that matches your cars color, a can of clearcoat, and finally a few sheets of 600 grit wet and dry sand paper. Next pull your air conditioning vents out, you can do this to other interior parts as well (face guard around cd player, defrost vents, door cranks, whatever knock yourself out) Then disasemble the vents completely, everthing! Soak all of your parts in a sink of hot soapy water for about an hour or so. Next sand the texture of of the vent faces, dont worry about the interior parts of the vents dont color then they wont look good and your vents wont work right either. Sand the vents down and let dry. Next spray the vent faces with the paint with about 5 good light coats. Next spray the vents with a couple of coats of clearcoat, and viola! You have a custom look in your car for around ten bucks! Make sure you give the vents at least 24 hours to dry so that they will assemble properly. You can customize your once plain interior without buying 400 dollar seats, and not wasting your dough on carbon fiber inserts. I will post a a pic of my vents in a few days so everyone can see just how good they look. And if anyone has any questions or comments feel free to email me and ask anything, I would be glad to answer any questions any of you have.
Peace

I dunno about you, but I wouldnt really disassemble anything on my car. I have a fear of f*cking something up and then have it look like shit. Oh well, looks fine to me anyway.

A friend of mine and I did that exact same thing to his Camaro (Yellow Chrome is the color of the car). Surprisingly, it looks excellent. Because we didn't go all out it isn't ghetto looking, and since then he's gotten a yellow momo shift boot, which matches very well.

VERY good tip. The key though, is in the gloss.

I recently did something similar (the interior of my car is immaculate, and in amazing shape) with the exterior mirrors. The housing was flat black plastic, and stuck out like a sore thumb on the shiny black paint. So, I detached them, scuffed them up, and hit them with a spray bomb. Then, because they were only semi-glossy, I took some model gloss and gave them 2 coats. Now, they look like they have a clearcoat on them similar to the car's body, and blend in perfectly .

That's what I did in my car. I spent about 7 dollars, but I didn't use the clear coat. And it looks really good, especially for 7 dollars.

I think my honda is pretty respectable... but thats because I'm not a ricer. And in referance to j00r sig... my honda sharez a garage wit an '99 M3, an '00 M5 and a '98 or '99 (i dont remember )911 and they all get along pretty well. But I respect all german carz... as well as hondas..
I think all importz should get along against thoz nasty domestics

Why do the wheels look photoshoped. The pic quality is kinda whack or those are things that aren't on ur real car.

The spray painting sounds like good stuff. But i've seen too many people go over bored with it taste is the key to that from what i've seen. I was gonna try it on my car but i'm gonna buy and used set of vents so if i screw up i still have a good set.

One of my buddies did that with crome illusions paint and it looks slick, but the paint wore off like nothing else. I'd be interested to know how well it wears with you guys.
