Door panel

How do I remove the inside door panel on a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country? Our door window is broken and is stuck in the down position and I need to get the panel off to fix it. How would I do it?

First of all look for any and all obvious screws that are visible on the door panel. Some are sometimes concealed by small plastic covers that usually just pop right out using a small screw driver. Check the door handle and arm rest sometimes there are screws there also which needs to be removed. On some panels the handle itself stays with the door and the arm rest is part of the panel and will stay attached to it. Then after you think you have removed all obvious screws take a medium size flat head screw driver and starting at the bottom of the panel insert it carefully between the panel and the door. Gently start prying back the panel away from the door. There are many plastic grommets that border the edges of the door. They are not visible from the outside. They snap into small holes along the edge of the door itself. Try going around all edges of the door and carefully popping the grommets out away from the door. They should stay with the panel. But if one or two remain with the door, don't worry. But I would remove them from the door and re-attach them to the panel when you’re ready to re-install the door panel. Once you have the door panel off, you should be able to reach in and manually move the glass window to the up position.
