Unhappy b16a problems

I put a b16a in my 91 civic DX and I am having tons of problems, any one who can help me out I would be really thankful. First of all my check engine light has been coming on from the start. I am not sure of the code though, it blinks twice. maybe 2-2-2. there are all kinds of wires not connected to the cpu. Secondly it idols up and down when I come to a stop sometimes. Also, it seems to have lost alot of power and does not redline the same as when I first got it. Since I have had it I have had to put in a new clutch which was new at install and and it seems to grind into gears frequently. I could probably list many more things wrong, but will start with this. I paid an arm and a leg to have it installed and just want it back to normal. Hopefully, this will be something that I can fix without spending much more money.

Thanks

Re: b16a problems

how recently did you get that clutch? You know clutches have a break in period, right?

The idling up and down can be simply fixed by adjusting your idle it sounds like its to high. All you do is adjust the screw by the trottle body with a flat head screwdriver. As for checking the ecu make sure you dont count the first blink.Count the number of blinks and post back.

thats your first problem right there. take it back to the place who did the install and ask/tell them what you are experiencing. They should be able to tell you, better than any of us who cannot even see/hear the car, what is wrong.

If you paid a shop to do it, they better be fixing what they screwed up, and fixing it free of charge.
