Just bought my Jeep!
I just bought a 1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande, so far so good! Only 79,000 miles on this baby. There's just a couple of things I have questions about.
1) I seem to be getting horrible gas mileage but I don't reve it and shift when the shift light tells me to. My dad says maybe there's water in the tank. What might cause bad gas mileage? 2) I have a hole in my soft top window, but it's ok...it's where the window and the canvas meet...so I think it can be glueed back together. What kind of glue should I use or is used for the soft tops? 3) Does the Borla exhaust really give the sound of the Jeep a deeper sound, louder sound? 4) This morning the Jeep didn't start, but I think it's because the battery couldn't handle the cold weather conditions, it just made a click sound and then nothing happened. Might it be the starter or should I check the battery first? Any info is very much appreciated! I'm new to the boards and looking forward to my time spent here. |

As far as the battery goes I would take the cables off first and clean very good. If you have a top post battery take clamps apart and clean pos. and ground wires with a wire brush or sand paper also the clamps. If that does not work then I would have the battery checked.

Re: Just bought my Jeep!
What is it that you consider to be horrible gas mileage?
I recommend Gibson over Borla for Jeep applications. I would just replace the battery so you know you have a good one.
