Keyless entry remote question/programming

I bought a remote for my 97 trooper and am trying to program it. Question 1: how do i find out if my trooper even has keyless entry? i called Isuzu and the guy said my car has antitheft with starter kill, but it didn't say if it had keyless entry.

Question 2: if i do have it, how do i program the remote? the steps for 98-02 troopers don't work.

thanks for any help

Turn the key to on, off, five times and listen for the beep. that works for my 97 rodeo. Now I'm trying to figure how to program the new remote. I lost the two old ones.
