Newbie needs some help!!! *READ PLEASE*

Hello everyone. I just purchased a beatutiful Honda Accord 1996 with only 25,000 miles on it. I really loved hooked up cars but I dont know how to go about it. Does anyone know a web site to order Rims for the car?? (I have no idea what fits, Im pretty much clueless about cars) Also the car is Automatic but i got such i good deal for it I couldnt resist ($9,000). I definately like speed, was it bad for me to buy an automatic? Can I increase the speed of an Automatic significantly?

Please help a dumb ass.

Happy New year!

*Correction! mistyped it, was lookin at type r web pages

tell everything about the car...

what model - LX or EX, 4 banger or V6, we need to know this to help...don't be afraid to ask questions, we all had to learn at 1 time or another. if you got $3K to spend & used $1500 on wheels, that leaves $1500.

AEM or Injen cold air intake - around $200; then cat back exhaust - made by Holley or GReddy or Tanabe; depending on LX/EX model you might need headers $500...the EX model has equal-length headers already; so LX needs custom headers $500. lowering springs Eibach, Neuspeed, H&R can be found around $150-200, tower braces are $100-150 & sport performance shocks are $100-150 each; so 4 shocks will be $400 to 600. crossdrilled/slotted rotors are $99 at www.tirerack.com & AEM also has rotor upgrades. turboes are from $2000-4000, depends on where you find it at, labor extra.

Try a Level 10 torque convertor for the automatic, it'll help reduce your launch time and quicker takeoffs. They're about 300 bucks.

Get your rims at www.wheelmax.com they have a good selection at a good price. Also www.autodynamic.com has lots of accessories for your Accord.

If you want speed drop a H22 engine.

yeah, for the header if you have an lx, you can get a DC Sports ceramic or stainless header. If you get anything GReddy, go onto www.groupbuycenter.com. Auto image enhancemnts has a deal that is 28% off all GReddy products. my GReddy header was 350, GReddy EVO exhaust was 470, and AEM cold air intake was 175. I've saved about $225, it might not seem like much, but thats money you can put towards your suspensio. hopefully you plan on doing that sometime.
