Navigation and engine cover

Anybody know anything about the Navigation system for the Gallardo? Is it avalilable yet? and the transparent engine cover, has anyone seen the any pictures of that?

If anyone has a picture of the engine cover, please post. Can the transparent engine cover be added on later since the option is appearantly not available right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Symbolic told me that the transparent cover can be added later on, the price is around $5K. I suggest replacing the Audi stereo with an Alpine retractable navigation system, the Alpine is from far the best nav around.

Isn't that what Lamborghini uses for the nav. option when you order a Gallardo is Alpine? And yes, the Alpine is very good. Did you have them put an Alpine nav. in on your onw or did it come with the car? The unit via the factory option is NVE-N077PS? 7" screen? I thought it was Kenwood that made an excellent system as well.

The gallardo uses the same Sat Nav system as the Audi A8. Not sure who the OEM is tho, but its supposed to be a good system.

Unfortunately here in the uk, that option isnt avbailable yet.

Actually, I haven't heard of any delivered Gallardos with the Navigation system and the transparent engine bonet option.

if you purchase an aftermarket navi and installed to the gallardo, would the radio functions in the driver dash (between the mph & rpm gauges) be disabled? any disadvatage?

A belgian dealer has told me the first LHD cars with Sat Nav are just shipping now.

I was told unofficially by a salesperson that the Nav and the clear engine cover should be out for the July/Aug U.S. production Gallardo's.
can anyone here has an info to confirm that?
