Where are the smokin K&N cold air tube prices?

Simple question here guys, I'm on a fixed income and would like to swop out the stock air box for one of K&N's replacement kits. Trying to achieve better fuel milage. I like the Charger polished system's but would settle for the FTPK if need be. I have the part numbers for my 2000 4.8, and have done some serching on the web ( ebay, google ect.) but thought i'd ask our group here if anybody has found the super deals anyware. So far i'm finding prices around $240.00 but i'm hoping to do much better than that. Any input would be appreciated. Thanx, jack

I just bought a K&N polished 77 series which replaces the old 55 series. I own a 99' Silverado with the 5.3. The same kit fits the 4.8 & the 5.3. The polished system part# is 77-3021KP. I bought mine brand new in the box from Crutchfield for $250. They also have an easy pay option too. Most of these truck accessories stores or "performance shops" quoted me a price from $320 to well over $500 which is a total ripoff. The system is well worth the money and very easy to install. It took me about 20 minutes with common everyday tools. The system boasts a 19-26hp gain. My fuel economy has not really gotten any better, but it's not any worse either. I can definately tell a big difference in throttle response. Hope this helped you out some.
