bmw 89 525i

I'm considering up grading my 89 525i to the later model twin cam 24 vlave engine. would love to find low mileage engine and trans. would consider complete wrecked car. any suggestions will be apprcated.

Here's good advise, buy a 91 525 or later, with the m-50 engine stock. Don't even try to change to a later model engine...... Unless someone knows more than me. I've been working on bimmers for over 25yrs and owned 60 different models.....bill.

Wow 5 years old I dont think hes into these old models that much now I was gonna say get a 95 525i and Chip it. But now i say get a 97 up 528i and put a M50 intake manifold on it and get it tuned.
