bmw 525i e34 m20

the idling on my 525i with and m20 engine seems a little rough. And the mixture is obviously off. Taking this to the dealership will cost me an arm. does anyone have an idea if this can be a do it yourself thing?

Start off throwing some injector cleaner in there with your next tank of gas, changing the fuel filter, and changing the spark plugs. They are all fairly simple do it yourself (DIY) jobs.

Thanks, have done everything except the injector cleaner thing. Most manuals specify Lubro Moly injector cleaner or the ventil sauber valve cleaner. These are'nt available where i am right now. will the STP brand do?

Clean the injector housing, the butterfly flap is sticking throwing off the computer.....Bill.
