ignition switch

does it take 24 hours for the ecu to reset after you replace the ingition switch because it wouldn't start last night when we replaced it but this afternoon we tried 3 separate times and it fired right up

Disconnect the negative battery terminal and/or remove the fuel pump fuse from the fusebox under the hood.... wait a couple minutes & your ECU is reset.
