brake/dash/tail light problems
Ok, I'm new, and in desperate need of assistance:
93 Corolla DX. The tail lights, brake lights, and dash lights don't work. I change the fuses for the tail, stop, and ign-u (dash?), and the fuses nearly immediately blow again (anywhere between immediately and five minutes). I ordered a stoplight switch thinking that this might fix it. It hasn't arrived yet, and I'm wondering if it could be something else. Thanks! |

Re: brake/dash/tail light problems
Sounds like you may have an intermittent short.
Has there been any work done on the car recently or engine wash, perhaps something put in the trunk that could have punchured through the floor rug and hit a cable loom? |

I found the problem. One of my tail lights had melted at its base, and was shorting out the system even though it still worked. Changed all the lights and the car is fine. Thanks!
