'96 S-10 Turn Signal Switch - HOW TO??
hey - i've got a buddy with a '96 S-10, and the turn signal switch has died. i'm helping him put a new one in TONIGHT, and i'm looking for a little info on the replacement of this switch. how involved is the process of changing this switch?? i'm hoping it's just popping a couple plastic pieces off, disconnecting the wires, and unscrewing the old one, and just the opposite for putting in the new one??
but i had a thought - is it necessary to pull the steering wheel? (man, i hope not...) ANY suggestions would be great, or if anyone knows of a writeup online someplace, that would be great too! thanks! one more thing - would a chilton or haynes manual go into detail enough to assist me with this switch replacement?? thanks! bryan |

Re: '96 S-10 Turn Signal Switch - HOW TO??
It is located directly under the radio package. You have to undo 3 to 4 panels above the pedals, heater and passenger side. Onece you get those loose pull the middle panel back and there are 2 flaher fuses, the one on the right is the turn signal, the one on the left is the hazrd flasher. I hope this helps it took me forever to find mine, it was only thru the help of this forum that I did. If you look further in this forum you will see other post's on this subject. Good luck
