Once in a lifetime opportunity...

...but i couldnt do it

I work at a gas station and i see many cars, mostly the basic civic or taurus, we do get a couple porsches and once i filled up a viper. I dont work at a typical gas station like hess or mobil, i work at a convience store with a gas station attach to it called Wawa (you kno what im talkin about ppl from south NJ, PA, and DE)

Back to my story, Yesterday i worked 2-10 and it was very busy that day, it was around 9 and slow when i saw a BMW Z4 covertible. the guy came out and it must have been his first time at a Wawa. he ask my to fill up his car with premium (yes i live in NJ and there is no self-serve), then he ask me weirdest question.

"I want to go in the store, should i leave my keys with you in case if you had to move it"

I was really temped to say yes, but there are many cameras around and i didnt want to lose my job. he was in the store for about 10 mins so i could have driven it around the block before he got back. the worst part is that nothin like that will probably happen again.

Obviously a very trusting individual.
Or heavily insured and wants out of his lease.....

Still, remember, do unto others.........

Good on you for you honesty.

You know with hindsight being 20/20 and all, The guy was cool and trusting enough to leave you his keys, if you asked he MAY have been cool enough to let you take it for a quick spin around the block with him in it. If he ever comes there again, it is probably worth asking. (Of course on the contrary he could be a violent killer and this is his method of luring new prey)

Oh well, better luck next time.

Yes it was cool that you could have driven his car for a few feet. However, its just a Z4. You can go to the BMW dealership and take one on a test drive.

It's New Jersey law that attendants must fuel your vehicle. It sucks, and it's REALLY awkward when you're on your bike and they're pumping.

When I turn 18, I'm going to go to all the dealerships and test drive ALL the cars, its going to be a good day.
