Rattle noise at about 3k - 4k revs??

Has anyone experienced this problem?? Whenever ive got the accelerator floored i hear this rattling problem - like something metal is rattling around in the engine bay?? Does anyone know what the problem could be???

Yeah, it can't be my cat, simply coz i don't have a cat (JDM Version), and it can't be my heat shield, coz its coming from the front of the car?? And also, i've got the DC JDM 4-1 headers now, and i just got those about 3 months ago, and the noise has just started, so i don't think the headers have cracked?

I have a similar problem, but it's in my 4cyl. 99 accord. I have no mods but I do hear a very very faint rattling sometimes. It's barely noticeable. What's weird is that when I switched to 92 octane, it disapeared.

the heat shield that covers the stock exhaust manifold? or did u have it removed when u put your header on?

wish i could locate the source of a rattle in my car as well, its about in the middle under the back seats and only hear it in neutral when a mid-throttle.

I just started having the same prob. A fluttering/rattling noise around 3200 rpms/ 60 mph. Once I go past this the noise goes away. Why specifically at this point? Does this point more to the header issue?

1. we cover this issue about once a week in here, do a basic search and you will find countless threads about it already.

2. do not under any circumstances bring old threads back to life. This particular thread hasn't been posted in in about 3 years and honestly i've never even heard of the members who posted in it so they probably are no longer members..

3. if you are getting the dreaded integra 3k rpm rattle it is the front section of heat shield over your exhaust. to fix mine I just trimmed it back to about where the shifter comes through the floor and bye bye rattle. Its about a section 1 foot long or so. I just trimmed it to the next set of bolts that hold it in place if you know what I mean
