What car would u pick and why?

I need help deciding on my first car and im having a huge time figuring out what i want.im deciding from civic.prelude.s2000or any other cars u would suggest. my parents are helping me out with 10000 towards to the car and i have 11000 in the bank. What should i get?????

ive always loved the s2000 there very strong cars! and will be my next car in about 3 years. but i wouldnt over look the 350z but out of a h22,gsr, or even a type r and a s2000 i would get the s2000.

Hell ya, S2K's are amazing. Handle like a dream. They are race cars for the street. But if you are looking to go with something a little more practical i would go for a 350Z(handling is great, great performance, looks awsome). But if i was you and im getting a new car i would go with something that you wont kill yourself in like a Prelude, or Civic.

Having a 240hp-300hp RWD car as a first car is asking for trouble. Dont be like the kids in the news who end up dead because they think they can handle that kind of power.

Will it's obvious if you were to ask for suggestions here, you'd end up buying an S2000. Go post on the Accord Forums and you'd probably be buying an Accord. Same with Civic's and Prelude. Chances are- Post in all of them, and you'd probably result in a Civic since they're so much popular, and the majority of the people owns civics.

Anyhow, just for references, I own an accord, a civic, and my pops just bought an S2k and the S2k is on my tops. Has great pick-up. It's running rear wheel and you can drift all you want. With only a 4 cyl, it's pumping out 240hp, also with an LSD Tranny. That thing is HOT!!

i would go with a nissan 300zx tt (z32 of course, z31's really dont attract me as much) and put the money that u saved in upgraded turbos and other mods. thats what i would do with 21k.

With 21k...if you are looking for practicality and fun to drive...you have the SRT4, RSX Type S, Celica GTS, Miata, Mazdaspeed Protegé, Sentra SE-R Spec V, Golf GTi 1.8t and anything used you might like...

Personally...brand new...I'd go for a WRX...AWD vs. FWD...I'll take AWD...even though you'd have to probably get a loan

Used...for 21k...you can pick up a nice 300ZX TT, FD RX7, maybe even a Supra TT if you are lucky...

So dont rule out nice used cars for 21k

I think that it is pretty obvious. For that cash you can buy a brand new 2004 Dodge SRT-4. It runs 13s in the 1/4 mile out of the box and handles pretty damn good for an FF car. The car also takes extremely well to mods. Dodge also offers aftermarket support and staged upgrade kits for the engine along with suspension upgrades, hell the thing comes with a Quafie LSD stock. Not to mention that with any of the modifications you have the factory do are covered under the 7 year 70,000 mile warranty. I don't see how you could go wrong.

I would steer VERY clear of the S2000. It’s not even close to worth what you would pay. The car does not take well to mods and is a pain in the butt to drive. Launching the S2000 takes way too much practice and high revving. It isn't a bad car but for the money you spent on an S2000 you could buy a far superior car in every way like the Evo 8, WRX STi, and the 350Z.

If I had $21,000 to spend on a car right now it would be the SRT-4 without a doubt.

the thing about the srt-4 is simple imo, it might be quick stock, but it IS still a neon. in my eyes i have always looked at the neon as a girls car, so i cant get around the srt-4 being a neon. another reason i dont like neons is because i had me and a passenger in my '87 oldsmobile and i raced this manual neon with just the driver, and i still kicked his ass.

the srt4 is just a neon is overplayed. You like it how it looks or not. Looks are subjective.

And you beat a regular neon so you don't like the srt4 beause of that? that is like saying that you beat a lancer so the evo must be slow too.

you have 11gs and your parents are giving you 10gs put 21gs down and make payments of just 5grand and buy the infiniti G35 sport, its cheaper than the 350z and looks better imo. or buy any used japanese muscle and upgrade it with left overs. rx-7, 300zx, vr4, supra maybe if you an find one in price range.

i was just backing up my reasoning behind my thinking the neon being a girls car. yes i know the srt-4 is a little, okay, a lot faster than a stock neon, but it still has those goofy headlights and the quircky stance. like you say, it is subjective adn thats just what i think.

$21k, i would get a 300zx tt. they look so good when lowered and nice rims. they also run really good at a track. i would rahter have a G35 or 350Z, but for $21k, you'll find a good Z32 and have a bit left for a boost controler, rims, suspension, and a few little goodies...

the problem I have with used turbo cars like a supra or Z32 is that i don't trust the owners. The engines might be bullet proof but i've seen how most people treat their cars its horrible. And turbo cars have to treated even more careful.

The only way i would buy a used turbo car is if i would intend to rebuild the block right away or if i would buy it from a person that i know well.
