Having starting problems with my Intrepid. Changed batter cable ends. Starter doesn't drag when it finally starts. Doesn't matter hot, cold, some times it starts other times not. Any suggestions will be thanked. Also, looking for an aftermarket starter for it. Thanks.

Re: '99 Dodge Intrepid Starter Problems
Unusual for this starter to give problems. They do, but rarely.
Sounds like a battery problem. Suggest you take the car to Autozone, Advance or any other automotive electrical shop. Most will test your battery free of charge. Eliminate the battery as the source of the problem first. |

Re: '99 Dodge Intrepid Starter Problems
i have a 98 intrepid and the starter went out on it. there should be a clicking sound when trying to start. the aftermarket reconditioned starters are expensive. I got one out of a scrap yard. it sounds like your starter is going mine did the same thing, sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. check the battery cables and lines when replacing the starter
hope this helps |

Yea, I found a starter on the net for $50. It came with a 90 day warranty. Thanks for the info. http://www.allamericanautowreckers.com/ This is the web page that I got the starter at. Good prices, quick shipment. |
