Clear Coats over Acrylics

alright, so my dad brought up an interesting question, and i have no idea what the answer is... here goes:

so, say i airbrush something with tamiya acrylics, and now i want to put a clear dull/gloss coat over it? what can i use? i know the whole pyramid (if you will) of paint where enamels go over lacquers, etc, but is there anything i can put over my acrylics for a dull or gloss coat? i'm not sure if tamiya makes acrylic clears... some help here?

Tamiya do make clear in both acrylic and enamel (X-22). I'm guessing the acrylic clear would work, but then again I'm not exactly experienced with airbrushes and stuff. Hope this helps!
