clear coat over Alclad 2 Chrome ???
it is possible to paint over alclad 2 chrome with enamel clear coat ????

Sure, but you might ruin the chrome look.

Yeah, it might darken the color. usually When you clear colors like that they change like darken.

Side note: A problem some people had with Testors metalizer was that the finish was fragile and easily damaged. Testors released a metalizer sealer (clearcoat) but then people said the clearcoat ruined the natural metal finish look of the surface. So there you go...

Any clear coat will change the appearance of the chrome. If you really need to protect it wipe on some Future as it's as about as thin and transparent than any thing else and if you don't like it wipe it off with ammonia with no harm done.
