93 sport clattering! HEEELP!
I recently bought a 93 cherokee sport with 4.0 and auto tranny. Anyway, shortly after buying it, it started making a clattering?? noise when braking/decellerating. Oh, and it does it when backing up. It kinda sounds like when you clipped the baseball or playing cards to your bicycle when you were like 10. Anyway, anyone have any idea what might be the problem? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

it sounds like one of your back brake shoes is loose since it only does it when slowing down/braking and in reverse - easiest way to check would be to remove the rear brake drum on each side and make sure everything (mostly the retaining spring) is still hooked up, for the front you can get a flashlight and inspect the disc pads and retaining clips.
