Question shift-timer

i have an automatic 94 accord that i am trying to soup up i am switching to a manual here soon but ive heard that if you have a good shift-timer its better than a manual is this bullshit or is it true? if it is true can you tell me where i can get one and some good brands

A built racing auto trans is far better than any manual because it don't miss gears. stock manual is better than stock auto. I don't know if there are many race auto trans for honda's available.
