Ultra-Lite vs C2...

Is anyone running the autometer Ultra-Light guages? I was lookin into getting the C2's but they're more expensive and I can't find an EGT in the c2. The ultra lite's are cheaper but I don't know what they look like at night. I don't want to get stuck with an underilluminated shitty looking set of guages just to save a couple bucks. If anyone has any pics of the ultra lite's at night, or a site where I can get a comparison I'd appreciate it. Also if you know where I can get an EGT guage in the C2 style. Thanks for your time

Re: Ultra-Lite vs C2...

i really like the look of the Apex'i EL gauges. and GReddy 60mm peak/hold gauges are in black/white/silver and are lit up good too. i'm sure you are going to get a ton of "too much $$" or "paying for a name" but whatever, i got $$ so i don't give a f**k. but that's just me ole opinion...

Does apex or greddy make boost, air/fuel, and egt guages? and where can I get them?

Yes. Please see the DSM vendor thread, and don't bother with the air/fuel. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=176767

Re: Ultra-Lite vs C2...

Is the air/fuel really that unimportant? Would you suggest another guage or just go with the 2?

Re: Ultra-Lite vs C2...

Maybe oil pressure, but I'd save the cash and buy a datalogger of some sort.

Air/Fuel, except for wideband, relies on the factory O2 sensor which is not accurate enough to trust your engine to.

Re: Ultra-Lite vs C2...

what is the difference between the electrical boost guages and the mechanical? is it anything worth while or just slightly more accurate? also how much more difficult is installation?

Re: Ultra-Lite vs C2...

I have no experience with electric boost gauges, but a mechanical one is just fine IMO. The install is a breeze... a t-fitting, power source for the illumination, and some vacuum line routing.
