what all do i need besides the longblock to swap in the obd1 jdm d15b into my obd 2 1996 civic ex?i had somebody swap in just the block and there's a check engine light.do i need the jdm d15b ecu(p08) and the obd1 wiring harness?

Overall it's a waste of money not to mention illegal. You need the engine harness, chassis harness, ecu, and that's all I can think of at the moment. If emissions are an issue, like I said, it's not worth it.

if you have an OBD1 engine in a OBD2 car you're going to need the OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness. That's considering the fact that you are using your D16 ECU anyhow.

i have the same problem i own a 97 hb and i had it wired obd 2 with an ex ecu. i get no vtec and waste alot of gas i need answers quick anyone?>
