How to hook up Apexi V-tec controller to 98 prelude?

my girlfriend bought a used Apexi Vtec controller and fuel enrichment controler (same unit, has a blue front) off some guy and of course i have to wire it up for her. she has a 1998 prelude with the H22A and it is a 5 speed. does anyone have any diagrams? I dont even have a stock diagram or any paper work for this unit, so guys help me out. its cold out so I dont want to be outside for to long.

or get a pro to do it and get it rolling road tuned - you can seriously break your car if you get it wrong, or set it up with bad settings

I downloaded these instructions from this site and then gave them to an auto electrician who fitted the VAFC

I'm getting mine rolling roaded next week so watch this space! (I have had a play and setting it leaner than normal seems to make the car quicker - but setting it too lean will melt your pistons so be careful! - I have also noticed that the vtec controller is a bit fussy - it makes a wierd noise if you set it at say 4500 RPM - between that rpm and factory vtec change point it just sounds odd - I am definitely thinking that this is a sophisticated bit of kit that needs professional setup - but if you are out to save a few quid and you are comfortable with a bit of soldering then you can probably fit it yourself without going too far wrong)

I will post more to this board when I have had it tuned and let you know if it is worth doing and doing well, or worth flogging on ebay to the highest bidder !!!

Ok guys... more info - I have run it by a guy who sets a lot of these things up... he took my car out with me and had a play with it.

He suggested that the main gain from this bit of kit is the VTEC control part of it (moves the VTEC point down so you improve acceleration) - mine is set to L>H 4800 H>L 4700 which seems to be about the optimum setting. Any lower and you seem to lose power when the vtec kicks in (you might be ok with setting them 100rpm lower - see how it feel)

The second part is the fuel control:

What he said with this is that you need to either get it on a rolling road with a CO2 detector in the exhaust and look to get a 3% reading at full throttle, high RPM (this is for a car with a cat replacement... if you still have a catalytic converter on the car I would check what figure you are looking for because it will be different.

The other way is to get a fuel/air mixture gauge fitted, then you can set the fueling up accurately with this (not sure exactly what ratio you would be after - I'm sure you can find out though)

Just one other thing though... this guy said that on UK cars, the VTEC controller part of it doesn't actually work 9 times out of 10 (this might explain why these things turn up on ebay all the time!)
