Drift Bible

Just curious if anyone out there seen it or has it. I have it and enjoy it a lot, wish it was longer though. Also, I am not quite sure what is the difference between a vlsd and a lsd....I just hear that vlsd sucks(drift king says so), just wanted to know why exactly....

a vlsd is a viscuous limited slip differential. basically when one of the wheels start to slip, the fluid inside of the diff uses its viscosity to start spinning the other wheel in the diff.

Re: Drift Bible

I've seen it that movie is hard! I like the Ending part with all the fine girls [drool]. They were all hot. I was thinking about asking the difference between the VLSD and LSD, but I felt it was kind of useless...I knew someone was going to ask it I used google too. Thanks^^^

There is no real perfect diff. you can use...depending on what you use your car for you have the change. As far as diff. goes on s-chassis nissan used for street/track Open Diff. sucks...LSD is ok. VLSD is alittle better..when the clutch couplings slip past each other..the sillicon liquid heats up and becomes like a glue. causing the plates to stop..so you get power to both wheels. What you want to get for better response and cornering on the street/track is a clutch type Limited Slip Diff. Nismo and Kaaz makes them..i think cusco does to..not sure.

Re: Drift Bible

I watch it everyday (DRIFT-BIBLE)! I wish I was that good! I'm still very much an amateur and I been drifting for two years! BEST MOTORING is the best! I love there on-going TOUGE battles on those courses! It's very reminiscent of a Rally stage! Does anyone run the touges around here? I drive my 240sx up by Wrightwood with my bro (he has a '88 GTU RX7). I don't race up there though... I might fly off the mountain! I don't see any other cars up there however, just an occassional Subaru and tons of Crotch-Rockets. I\m just wondering if any one else runs up there?

Re: Drift Bible

Drift king states the mr2 is good for drifting cause of the oversteer. The more over steer the better....I have the video and it is in english too lol I made a vcd out of it and I also have it on my comp lol. Now i can watch it on the go(if i had a dvd player in my car...my bro use to) or watch it while posting in this forum lol. Oh thanks for clearing up the whole vlsd and lsd. Now i know why the drift king states taht vlsd sucks and to go with the lsd.

HE only spun-out once in the MR2! It's a good video you should check it out! It also has the The s13 and s14 Silvia's and the infamous HachiRoku/AE86! Good practice pointers!

Re: Drift Bible

I though he spun out twice...one to show the difference and the other one when he was actually running the course....I might be wrong...need to watch it again.....also I don't know if I am able to share it, but I would if i knew that I could. I know i can transfer it over the comp. Don't want to get in trouble though....

oh jeez...

the Drift-King is NOT God people. just because he was ONCE the best drifter does not make him THE source on it. he can't even compare to most of the D1 drivers these days in terms of skill.

so likewise, just because he says something does not make it set in stone. alot of what he says is probably through personal preference, and maybe YOUR personal preference will differ from his.

anyways, keep the topics in the right forum please.

moved to drifting.

"Best drifter" is a matter of opinion really. The difference between the "Drift King" and D1 drifters is that D1 is for show, the Drift King used drifting in an actual racing situation to lower lap times and thus earning the title no sole D1 driver is worthy of.

That said, a 2 way clutch type differential or something similar IS better than a VLSD in every performance aspect. A VLSD is cheap to manufacture.
