questions.....

Hey guys,
I've got a 2000 Maxima automatic and my tranny seems to be slipping a little. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem with their auto maximas and what solutions are available to solve this besides dropping in a 5 speed tranny lol ( I kno i shoulda got a 5 speed to begin with haha).

Also, the other day I was talking with a mechanic and he was trying to tell me that modifying the intake and exhaust on imports messes up the engines. Has anyone else herd this and does anyone know if engine modifications do really damage the motor? I wouldnt think that a company like Stillen or JWT would produce a product that would damage the motor but who knows lol.....

Thanx

If your tranny is slipping then its about to go. Most people with the autos get a tranny cooler to prolong the life of the transmission. A lot of people also have their vavle body recalibrated so the transmission shifts faster. The weak point in the auto transmisson is the lag between gears, this is where teh vb mod comes in. It virtually eliminates any lag and shifts a lot faster & firmer.

Mechanics have told me modding any car is bad. I havent ran into any problems due to mods.

Sweet. From your sig on the .orgY you practically have the same mods as me except B-pipe. I even have 300zx rims too.

Too bad i've been on a empty bottle for over a month now.

I got my VB done by "Don in Texas" on maxima.org. I paid $350 on top of exchangin my core. People have been sending their VB's to a place in NJ called Level 10 (www.levelten.com or e-mail them: [email protected]). They charge about $600 for this mod. They are local to me but i think shipping would be an extra $25 or so? You might want to ask some local transmission shops if they can do the mod. Most places wont but it never hurts to ask.

I'm not using the bottle till I get another VB mod Damn FPR screws are being a bish, and I don't feel like trying to change my shocks in the rain... As soon as I get everything else in, I'm gonna start working on my next project... adding six injectors...
