spec-v vs. me , hey i rhymed

this is a while ago, but it was quite decisive, first i take a quick right onto a street with only a quick look, i accidentally cut this guy off in some black car and all of a sudden hes on my ass with one hand on the top of the steering wheel. luckily the road branches into two lanes soon and theres a red light. so there i am lined up at a red light on the side of a black spec v. light turns green, i take a car length on a silver platter, maintain and gain a little until about 85, i shut down he flys by.

VTEC doesn't seem like it'll be shot down for a while as far as naturally aspirated four's go. Honda should take the S2000 platform, extend it a few inches, make a small sedan model and sell it for $25k. I'd buy one in a second. That would be the best car ever.

I agree with everything everything you said except extending it a few inches, making it a sedan and it being the best car ever.

I agree with Bunta, that would be a sight to see. Sort of would remind me of the Lexus IS300 (in my mind)

If you made the wheelbase longer, it would be an awesome dorifto machine!!! Plus, a tight little sedan with the low hood and styling cues from the S2000? It'd be a winner fo' sho in my book. Kinda like a reborn Datsun 510 or BMW 2002tii (yeah, altezza). We need a car like that.

the last thing you want to do to an S2000 is to give it more weight. the stock tq is already barely adiquit for the s2K. what do you think will happen if you happen to add another 200 or so more lbs. it would kill the car. its like swapping in a B16a into a honda accord. do you have any idea how terrible that would be? lolz it would be a torqueless car tryin to move a car that is can't.

Re: spec-v vs. me , hey i rhymed

My Spec V had good low-end torque and was pretty free revving. The biggest problem was how poorly it was geared...you literally never got a chance to stretch the car out down low because 1st gear was so low and the torque steer was severe. It's almost like Nissan decided to go with a 6 speed tranny thay was special tuned to run on a '65 VW Beetle.

I'd like to see a race between a 5 speed, 165hp SE-R and a 6 speed 175hp Spec V. My guess is that an SE-R, even if slower stock, can be easily modded to run high 14 second 1/4 miles.

I agree.. the steering wheel rules the world. Touching it just makes me want to drive so bad. There's just so much detail in that car. Too bad its so slow.
