need experienced advice

First of all, i dont post much, but i read everything i can get my hands on. And living in northern wisconsin, there is no one i trust to help me. I need advice on what is the best route to take for me. I will be buying an ek or accord, and i want to run low 13's in the 1/4, give or take. im not too concerned with auto-x, and do appreciate the extra size of the accord even though it will hurt my times on the track. I would swap in an h22 for the accord, but im not so sure what way to go with the ek. I would like to go b20, but that would be expensive and complex, but i wont stand for the high strung nature of the b16. lsvtec is also an option, but i have heard many bad things....Either way, i would like to stay with a stock short block and NA, but other than that i am open for anything. Anyway, good advice is always welcome....

Re: need experienced advice

With the accord, h22 would be a great idea. Intake header and exhaust with a turbo and some head work that would put you up there. The h22 is a great engine. I don't have one but i have the step down h23 and i love it... by up there im not sure if that will hit 13's but you'll be on your way. Anyother suggestions anyone?

Personally you'd have more fun autocrossing than drag racing and you don't even have to do the swap to have fun Trust me <- autocross instructor.

Re: need experienced advice

i like auto-x, but have to drive about 4 hours to get to a track, and racing fees are really high.

Re: need experienced advice

Drag racing fees are higher than any autocross. Where do you live. There are plenty of autocrosses across the US usually within 30-60 minute drive. Sometimes there are ones right in your backyard that you don't know about.

Re: need experienced advice

if all you're interested in is going in a straight line. Get the EK and swap the H22 in there. You should be hitting low 14's if not high 13's with the stock motor. All depending of course.
