Finished Repsol Honda RC211V (9 pics)

Hiya,

here's my newly finished kit, the Valentino Rossi #46 Repsol Honda. Overall a very nice build, especially the engine, save for some problems with the decals on the side engine covers. Came out very nice in general and I think this wont be my last bike. Already started on my next project, the 1977 Monaco GP Tyrrell Ford, yes it's the 6-wheeler. Enough talk, here's the pics:

Here's the engine from both sides:

Two pics of the bike without any bodywork:

Both the wheels:

And the pics of the finished bike:

Hope you like what you see, any feedback is appreciated

Cya

One of my future projects and is really nice to see how beautiful it will turn out after a great build. Excellent.

Hi !

I am also currently working on the RC211V but the Pons and Telefonica 2003 version !
Which color did you use for the dark blue ?
did you put carbon fiber ?
BTW, very nice job you did ! I've just read recently that Tamiya is going to produce the Repsol RC211V 2003.... mmmmmhh and the Yamaha M1 as well... mmmhh !!!

Cheers

just one more thing : you should sand the tires, it gives a better realism !

Thanks all for the kind words, it was a very nice build and it's even better if others also like it.

@xim-crow: I used Tamiya's TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue. Came out alot darker than I expected tho'. I'll try to think of sanding the tires next time, that'll look better indeed. What grit sanding paper should I use for that?
